Jill has naturally thick, long, straight hair with hints gray. She was getting married out on the Hudson River aboard a moving vessel. Jill was noncommittal about a specific hairstyle, but did express concern about her hair holding a style given the challenge of the weather elements (wind, humidity, etc.) of getting married outdoors on the water, on a moving vessel. She worried if her hairstyle would hold up through the day and night.

Darryl created a glamorous intricately woven romantic wedding updo with face framing tendrils, finished with rhinestone pearl bobbie pins, and a blossom rhinestone and pearl hair comb.
Darryl used Kera Care Silken Seal Oil and Paul Mitchell Flexible Style Sculpting Foam to achieve a silkier texture, and control frizz. The style was created using Kenra 3 Dry Volume Burst Instant Soft Hold Spray for texture at the roots, along with Kenra 14 Working Spray. The hairstyle was finished with Kenra 25 Super Hold Finishing Spray, and Mizani Styling HRM Humidity Resistant Spray to ensure the style would hold up in windy, damp, and warm weather.
This bride not only looked beautiful, but her hair held up through both the “sailing ceremony” and while she danced the night away!
