As both the Operations Director and Wedding Concierge for The Mane Event Beauty Artistry, Chantel has helped countless brides “control the chaos” that a wedding, and all that goes into planning and executing it, can most certainly bring!
Through both her pre-event consultation, communication, and planning, as well as her on-site, day-of-event Bridal Concierge Services, Chantel is more than a beauty event coordinator – she’s a “Wedding Wrangler!” Diving in any way needed on a bride’s special day to keep things on track and provide her with the relaxed, glamorous, and professionally pampered experience she deserves!

Hi, I’m Chantel, and you want to know a secret? It’s 30+ years later and I’m still disgusted I didn’t hire a professional to do my wedding hair and makeup!
Frugal and Foolish
I was 20 years old, and the typical DIY bride. Darryl and I were footing the bill for our wedding, and I was trying to be as frugal as possible. In my young, analytical mind, that meant doing my own hair & make-up. And not hiring a wedding concierge or planner to help me with the myriad of details and decisions!
You know how they say hindsight is 20/20? So why is it that even though your natural vision may be 20/20, you still can’t see clearly? So off I go, planning my own wedding. My naivety, and amateur planning skills, on full display. But the one decision that impacted me the most was not hiring a professional for my hair and makeup. Had I just recognized the blind spot, I would have at least had my then-fiancé do my hair. I mean why not? He was already gifted with styling hair! And of course, I would have hired a professional make-up artist to do my make-up.

But the full weight of my decision didn’t hit me fully until I looked at my wedding photos for the first time. I was not happy. And to this day, I still feel the same. If I had the opportunity for a “do-over,” I would absolutely hire a professional to do my hair and make-up, to ensure my wedding photos look timeless, and I would love them forever.
Oh, and don’t let me forget to mention that my family and friends were all up in my business on my wedding day while I was trying to get ready. Asking random questions about this and that, dictating what I should do with my hair, and generally being a “pain-in-the-you-know-what!” I wish I could have had someone dealing with them while I was getting ready so I could start my day in peace!
